Born and raised in Northern California, living in Utah, Natalie is a Gosei generation screenwriter, video editor, photographer, and director. 

A descendent from the Topaz and Manzanar Internment camps, Natalie hasn't known her own heritage, resulting to her latching onto TV and movies, recognizing the weirdos and outsiders as her own, weaving stories surrounding identity, kindness, friendship, and inner turmoils into complex narratives unraveling these core human experiences today.

 

For film projects, she has placed as a quarterfinalist for the 2021 Atlanta Film Festival for her Sci-Fi short, Oppy, and a Second Rounder placement for the 2022 Launch Pad Pilot Competition, for her Historical, Sci-Fi pilot, Ruined Darlings. Natalie is a proud life and alumni member of the Omicron Chapter of Tau Beta Sigma at the University of Utah. In several instances for Chapter and District, she developed workshops, created presentations, and initiated district and national programming for conferences and events in leadership, including helping with the prestigious 75th Anniversary of Tau Beta Sigma. For the Western District Alumni Association, she served as Director of Membership, TBS President for the 2019-2021 terms, and Director of Recruitment. In her spare time, she enjoys Parks and Recreation and Saturday Night Live re-runs, traveling, cats, and nutella. She can sing every bar of a song by heart but not know the lyrics to them as her special talent.
